Hi Ian, a tricky one to answer....I think Chad can build one in a week or two....I took 6-9 months but only on weekends and having problems getting some gear. If you have everything ready before you start,, tools, wood, jig, resin etc, you could do it quite quickly, perhaps 3-4 weeks. Also depends on whether its only on the weekends, and what size the board is! Also most of the time is taken waiting for glue to dry (24-48 hours at times) before being able to move to the next step. Either way I'm sure once you start you'll stay motivated to just keep going as quick as you can!! Enjoy!!!

Hey Ian, Agree with Julian that it would be tough to pinpoint for you. I started my board in September and in my opinion I was pretty aggressive with spending time on the project (about an hour a night, and 4 hours on the weekend). I had to shut down for the winter in November and Im itching to pick it back up. I spent a little bit more time in the beginning building the rocker jig cause I plan on building a board for my wife as well. At this point, I am in the shaping phase I and I think this is definitely the most time consuming portion. If you plan properly you can get through the gluing fairly quickly. That took me about 2 weeks, but included setting alarms on my phone and waking up early in the AM to get pieces glued so that they could dry while i was at work.....definitely OCD I think that 2-3 months for your first one would be agressive but do-able. Probably 4-6 at a moderate pace and accounting for mistakes (there will be some, i guarantee it)
