Is it ok to glue the rails after soaking them for 24 hours? Or would it be better to clamp then dry then glue. I assume they will keep most of their shape after soaking clamping then drying. I'm a little concerned the Gorilla glue won't hold if the wood is soaked. I remember reading somewhere that a little wet is good and soaked will weaken the joint. Thanks for any help.

Greetings,
I think that if you are using the water-proof gorilla glue, the dark stuff that never comes off your hands a little bit of h20 will supposedly act as a catalyst and kind of kick it!
When gluing dry wood I would put the water proof gorilla on one side and then wipe a wet rag along the other side of the joint.
Board hasn't popped yet, but that may be due to that 8 oz glass!
But if you are using the water-resistant gorilla glue all bets are off!
But either way, I think that you need to take the wood from the soak, glue it, place it, clamp it from the middle to the ends. Don't bend and try to come back and glue it afterwards.
Oh, and whatever glue you use, leave it in the clamps for awhile. I usually left them in for 5 or 6 days...just due to work schedule.
Let me know how it goes!
