Yo surfer steve!
Looks like you've been busy!
Been busy myself moving up to jax bch, but finally done with that and hope to get back to work on the board next week?
Looking at your rails you must be planning on building up more rail outside the sub rails...interesting! Are you going to glue up the triangular strips outside them? Does it make building the rails easier? Inquiring minds want to know!
I definitely need to finish this puppy and try it out. Missed waves already!

The method is from some cheap plans I ordered from www.woodsurfplans.com.... But I overall rocker to thicken it up and the rail were suppose to be 50/50, with a plywood deck and bottom. I will use two shaped( tri's with one tip, flattened, with graduated solid strips to get the 60/40, that Jimmy , at Mystic, suggested. Where did you move to ... I have a place at Summer House, on the ocean side..... helped build them in the 80's...before I truned my car hobby into a job...LOL

I go that way to Home Depot, as I usually stop by Mystic.... I built some house back in there in the 80's....owned some of that property on the corner, where you turn to get onto JTB w-bound.....sold it, as I had no money to build....what a dumb-ass... lol

Ha! I think that parcel is still available!
I just saw the mystic shop the other day on a bike cruise, I wonder what their cost to glass my board would be? Maybe I'll stop by to check it out, that and see if they have a fin box...

Yeah, but they bought all the pieces up to do condos and you can't touch it now , even in a bad market....
Jimmy did Eric's for $300-350....he has to see it to give you a set price.... I am going to just epoxy mine....Ribs are on 6" centers and I am doing the deck first and glueing 5mm strips of ply under the deck, where most of the weight will be....might glue in some half ribs on 3" centers. I am doing 2 strips at a time, but putting on the glue, right before the strip. first time one side skinned over before I could get the strip completely clamped. One strip sets a tad high, but will sand out. Clay bennett told me wood boards were "old school' ...that I needed to switch to foam...His price is why I started this board...lol
