Well after getting the plans, I thought why not knock a quick board out .... then I got to reading and asking questions...did I say a lot of reading and not too many people answered my questions but I have built my own house and how hard could it be ...Taping the plans that I printed was a bi**h,, spacing was off and was not symetrical. Kinko's shop was a franchise and they tried to hook me in the keester. I bought a sheet of 5mm underlayment ( as it had not void and was light. Had luan on one side and something with a lot of knots on the back. Really nice pattern (more about that later) using the dimensions on the plans , marked the nose and tail for the rocker. Layed out the ribs on 6" increments and layed the pages on the marks and taped them together, measured the top and bottom of each rib and tranfered to wood . Then use a 3/8th piece of 10' quarter-round , I played connect the dot . Looks good to me ..... Attachments:

About the knots....the board palns called for ply on the top and bottom...The half sheet I have left over will be the bottom, with cedar strips cut from the left over 2 x 8 cedar boards I had left from the facia on my house. Have some shingles, red and white cedar will cut into 2 " strips and glue in a fan pattern for the nose ....if it looks good. Will put holes all over in a random pattern and see if it lightens it some .... I trimmed of the little pointy tips of the spar as I will glue white cedar blocks cross-ways to attach nose and tail too...plus was able to cut the spar from 7 " of the 4 x 8 sheet of ply....two 5 mm pieces that I will glue together....could probably get 4 spars out of a half sheet, by traceing off the first, with a saw kerf between them....we will see !
