Rocker jig - Can I use 1/4" all thread. The 1/4" seems more cost effective than the 3/8" most guys are using. Just wondering.

I'm making my first board (one of many I hope ) Could you describe how you set that up? I'm specifically wondering how you decided on height of each section and if you bevelled the edges (if so did you just estimate the angle of bevel cut?) Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Wedge

HI Wedge, I guess you're talking about the jig. Once you cut the spine it will give you the curve you need to build up to, either using scrap bits of wood or building a "super" jig with long threaded bars that can be moved up to the perfect height. Have a look around the forum there are some great pics and explanations of how to build these. As far as I know you dont need to bevel the cross bars. Have fun.

Ron, I used 3/8 with no problem at all. Wedge, just responded to your other post. Ive been trying to take as many progressive pics as I can and I put a lot up with that "super jig" that Julian was referring to. The thread is the "NJ SUP Build"
