Getting ready to start work on the 11' SUP. I recently finished building a 14' stitch and glue SUP and still have some 6mm marine grade Okoume plywood left over. Any reason I couldn't use is for this board? The 14' SUP is made with 6mm ribs and skinned in 3mm plywood. It has no spine but does have several 6mm deck support stringers where you stand. I figure with 1/4" wood on top the board will be plenty strong with thin ribs/spine.
Also plan to pick up a bead and cove router bit from Rockler. That should eliminate any gaps when gluing up the deck and bottom, allow me to glue the planks together on the ribs so they more easily follow the curves and provide more surface area for the glue.
