Greetings! Finally called access5 this weekend and tried to meet up and trade construction secrets, but life got in the way again. Anyway, talking with him motivated me to start a thread describing my journey to date. Started in January 2012 with a trip to HD followed by another to a local lumber supply. A planing table and a bunch of expensive wood. Attachments:

Ok, here is just one of many mistakes. I thought that I needed to modify the ribs that I purchased to accomodate the concave nose. So I used old balsa airplane techniques to cut in the additional concave...ended up replacing 8 or 9 ribs. Measure 3 times, cut once. Attachments:

clamping stringer, ribs and bottom. another disclosure...I used the gorilla glue for the ribs, stringer and bottom that was only water resistant instead of the water proof. Ooops, but I make myself feel better later in the construction regarding this goof. Attachments:

Awesome, thanks for sharing the pics. The glue should hold well, did you end up using resin or varnish on the interior surfaces before gluing the top deck on?

I sure hope that it will hold up...but I did paint the inside with an enamel paint. , didn't have any varnish laying around... Photo's to follow this evening.
