I got the template for my fin off of the timeless surf website it was free. I then copied some of the sunburst patterns I found online.

K. Thank you. I'll keep looking for some reason I'm having a hard time finding it. Hopefully I'll start my build in the next week or so and will start posting pics.

Tommy have a look at this website , it has downloadable fin templates of different shapes and sizes. I'm going to buy one but maybe next time I might try one of these. www.blendingcurves.com/temps/fins

Thanks a bunch for the link. I have been reading your build post as well as 1974's and I'm almost ready to start posting pics of my build progress. The information contained in both is going to help me out tremendously. Should be ready to start posting on my build by end of next week hopefully.

Hi everyone, Im Mike from Texas. Im in the information gathering process right now and planning on building my own SUP very soon. I am starting small and making the paddle buck to get a paddle made and see how it goes :-) Allot of great information and beautiful builds on here, I can't wait to get started. I think the hard part for me is going to be the glassing but I am patient so we shall see haha. I need to buy some plans too, I read on a few threads people said they bought them off here so I am off to search some more.
Cheers from Austin. Tx.

Hello all, stoked to be a member, have been following the different threads and learning much from the discussion and provided photos. Chad thank you for all your efforts to pass along the art of wooden board building. I will be sure to post my photos/learning process as my 11 ft sup takes shape. Could someone give me a break down (from experience or research) on the pros/cons of adding the spray in foam. The impacts of it on the pressure/moisture equilibrium of the board. This forum has been around a few years and I'm wondering if anyone can weigh in on how their board has endured with the foam and no vent. Thanks GMS

Hey Chad and forum users, I just downloaded the ebook and plans and intend to build my first wooden 9'2 longboard
I'm based in Cornwall in the UK, very near the beach.
It's gonna take a while as I have limited space at home and most of my tools are in storage, will take it a step at a time and make the most of what I have hear.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has built one in the UK to see where they sourced the materials!
Cheers
Mark
