Thanks for checking out our new forum. I hope to make a lot of info available and address the usual questions I receive from my clients and fellow builders. Let's take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and get our feet wet.

Hi Chris? pick out my wood..jigs about ready..would like to order plans but a a question if i (or u) could modify ribs for a bonzer bottom with concave spoon. Think it would be inherently stable, like a tri hull boat. allowing to go smaller all around? maybe 10'x28x3.5? THANX TOM 805 444-4602 SWIFTONO@YAHOO.COM

Hi! I just ran across your site/forum. Love your boards and will be purchasing the SUP kit to get me started on my first wood board. You have made some beautiful boards and the kits/plans are priced very generously.
I am out here in So Cal, and have a few close friends who are looking to build a board as well. Take care.

Thought I would introduce myself. Name is Mike from the Carolina coastline. I played around building foam boards in the 80's and early 90's. I went on to building music instrument later on. So its just seems right to build a wood surfboard. I downloaded the plans for a 9'2" bout a month ago and I'm in the process of making my jig. I also just picked up a couple pieces of Redwood today so I will be cutting soon.

Hi. I'm new also. Just received my book from Lulu. I'm waiting on my plans to be emailed for the 8' cedar mini glide. Looking to make it out of cedar and redwood.

Hi, I am new to this site. Have received my plans and book this week and am really looking forward to starting. I'm from Wales in the UK and was wondering if anyone else from the UK has/is making one of these boards. would like some advice on finding cedar wood in the UK. It seems its quite expensive to get. Any help much appreciated. G.

Greetings all!
North Florida surf guy that recently moved here from Orlando area, water is definitely cooler/colder up here. So rather than spend a bunch of money on a wetsuit, I decided to take a chance with a hollow wood board! Told my kids what I wanted and they got me a performance longboard kit with the plans and all.
Pre-cut ribs and stringer will help alot in getting me to a quality product. I'm using cedar and have planed it down to 1/4" and am getting ready to glue it up as the bottom. Learning all sorts of new skills, and enjoying the heck out of the journey.
I'm sure that I will have more questions as I go along but I also know that Chad will provide whatever support that I need (he was answering my questions before we bought in).
Looking forward to a great ride this summer!!!
